I need a pass rush now. I have the basis of my offensive line. I have my quarterback and tight end. I even have half of my secondary. Looking for a pass rush now is a bit tough, as Purdue has a bunch of unproven, but promising options.
Kai Higgins - DE
Higgins was a JuCo transfer last year that was mostly a reserve appearing in 11 games. We had a couple of decent options on the end with Danny Ezechukwu and Austin Larkin. both of those guys are gone, however, so Higgins needs to step into the role and be a big time performer.
He has the size needed to be a solid defensive end and generally players that come from junior college are better in year two than they are in year one. That is what I am betting on. I think he becomes our top defensive end this season.
