Purdue Football Draft: Pick 13

We are already at pick 13 in the Purdue Football Draft.

You guys have clamored for more skill position guys.

I now give you my 13th pick..

Jackson Anthrop - Wide Receiver

It took a while for the first skill position guy to come off the board. Quite frankly, I think it is because we really do not know who will be getting what kind of reps. Offensive positions are there for the taking for anyone.

I know for sure, that Jackson Anthrop is the most consistent of group of wide receivers we have returning or coming in.

Anthrop, who had 47 catches for 423 yards isn’t a huge deep ball threat. He is more of a slot receiver, catching stuff underneath and moving the chains at will.

There will be competition at the slot position with incoming receiver Rondale Moore, either way, Jackson is too talented to keep off the field. He will be used all over the field, again. Including special teams.

I feel pretty good here with getting the best wide receiver on the team at pick 13.
