Purdue Football Draft: No. 11

You get a lineman, you get a lineman, we all get a lineman!

This morning, I will continue our run of linemen, with another multi positional, versatile lineman.

Mike Mendez - OL

Mendez was a key reserve for our Boilermakers last season. He played both guard and offensive tackle. In particular, I like him more so as a guard. At 6’4”, 315 Pounds he is well suited there.

He is more of a mauler, similar to Matt McCann. Mendez was a late addition to the Purdue Football team a few years back in recruiting, but has turned out to be one of our more consistent guys.

This upcoming season, he could be fighting for a potential starting job, if the staff sees him fit to fill that right tackle spot that is open with the departure of Dave Steinmetz.

As for my team, he is a perfect fit to my mauling offensive line.
