I have my quarterback and I have the base of my offensive line. Now I want to build up front on the other side of the ball. I am taking our best defensive lineman off the board.
Lorenzo Neal - DT
Purdue’s run defense last year was probably the best it has been in more than a decade. A lot of that credit goes to the linebackers, but the defensive line was also prominent in that improvement. Only one of the main guys is back this season and it should be a big one for the junior defensive tackle.
Last season Neal was disruptive int he run game with 22 tackles, 5.5 for loss, and two sacks. One of those sacks came in the bowl game against the extremely elusive Khalil Tate.
That’s what I want from my tackles.be a monster in the middle that clogs running lanes can can be disruptive against any quarterback out there. Not only to I like Neal, he is my pick for a Fat Guy Touchdown in 2018.
