Purdue Football Draft: Fifth Pick Is In

An anchor on the offensive line is taken.

NCAA Football: Foster Farms Bowl-Arizona vs Purdue Neville E. Guard-USA TODAY Sports

T-Mill has forced my hand the last couple of picks.

First, he did so by surprisingly taking Blough over Sindelar - so I took the better of the two quarterbacks, after he took Blough.

Then, T-Mill took Grant Hermanns, which I understand, you need an offensive tackle to protect your quarterback. But the lineman he took wasn’t even the best one on the roster, hell even the second best.

Here is my pick:

Kirk Barron, Center

Barron is an absolute beast. He has all B1G potential to go with the NFL potential he possesses. Kirk is the best offensive lineman Purdue has had in years - he has backed this up with being the starting center for 3 years in a row now with the upcoming season.

What Travis didn’t realize is, without Barron - the offensive line doesn’t even work. He calls out everything for the entire line. In my opinion, I have the two most important offensive pieces, the starting quarterback and the best starting lineman and center, Kirk Barron.

I like my offense being able to run the ball up the middle with the first piece of my interior offensive line.

So far, teams are looking like this:

Kyle - Markus Bailey, Elijah Sindelar, Kirk Barron

Travis - David Blough, Grant Hermanns, ???

Drew - Not making his grades correctly.
