The NBA Playoffs are set.
In the first round in the Western Conference, we will have two former Boilermakers matching up in the 3 vs 6 seed games.
Caleb Swanigan of the Portland Trailblazers has started to get more playing time, as he was used sparingly early in the season, spent some time in the G-League, and now sometimes plays close to 20 minutes a game.
E’Twuan Moore, who has started all but two games this season for the New Orleans Pelicans is having a great year. Averaging 12.5 PPG, 2 assists and 3 rebounds per game, this is his best year yet in his career.
While they will rarely guard each other in this series, if at all, it is great to see two former Boilermaker greats meet up in the playoffs. Biggie a former 1st round pick, Smooge, one of the last picks in the draft.
Smooge will have a chance to guard NBA All Star, Damien Lillard and C.J. McCollum at times. Biggie will have an opportunity to guard arguably the best big man in the NBA. Both will be up to the challenge as they come from the play hard mentality at Purdue.
Biggie is still carving his role out in the NBA, as this is only his rookie season. But, it appears as Smooge has found his spot in New Orleans, as he just got a new contract this past off-season.
I will be tuning in to watch this series. The first one, is Saturday Night at 10:30 PM. Best of Luck, Boiler Up!
#Purdue legends to meet in the #NBAPlayoffs first round.
