The combine has passed, now we are in the amidst of the College Pro Days. There were a few yesterday, but today, the Boilermakers take the field.
S/Os to all of our @BoilerFootball guys participating in Pro Day today! This class of seniors played an important role in changing the culture with Purdue Football! So many leaders, quality young men, and talent! #BoilerUp

Here is the list of players I that will more than likely be participating in the Purdue Pro Day this afternoon.
Da’Wan Hunte
Ja’Whaun Bentley
T.J. McCollum
Josh Okonye
Gregory Phillips
Antoine Miles
Gelen Robinson
Garrett Hudson
Anthony Mahoungou
Danny Ezechukwu
Austin Larkin
Race Johnson
Eddy Wilson(?)
Of the 12 I believe to be participating, I think there are just a handful of players that could go pro. Primarily, on the defensive side of the ball where Purdue was a top 25 team in terms of points allowed per game. Coach Brohm and Coach Holt were blessings for these guys, there was always talent, but the schemes were poor. If they had another year with these coaches their stock would be even higher, but, their NFL aspirations start now.
Da’Wan Hunte
Hunte, in my uneducated opinion, should have been invited to the NFL Combine. The three year starter had a stand out year this past season. Hunte, in the NFL may be a nickel cornerback. At 5’9”, he will struggle with taller outside receivers. Expect him to be the most explosive athlete at Purdue’s pro day, he will have the best 40, vertical and broad jump probably. Expect a 3rd day selection.
Ja’Whaun Bentley
Bentley is another guy that should of been invited to the NFL combine. At 6’3”, 247 pounds (As his Twitter stated he is not 260), will be drafted. The film doesn’t lie, Bentley is a beast, there is no doubt about it. A downhill thumping Middle Linebacker is always needed, I would love to see him in Indianapolis. Probably a 2nd or 3rd day selection.
T.J. McCollum
McCollum, a 5th year transfer, has great size for an outside linebacker. I do not know a ton about him, but he was great against the run and in pass coverage in his one year in West Lafayette. At Western Kentucky, he lead the team in tackles twice, he is a great prospect in my opinion. Day 3 selection or undrafted free agent.
(I Couldn’t find highlights!)
Danny Ezechukwu
Danny E has played all over. Middle linebacker, outside linebacker, edge rushing specialist. That may play against him in the draft, he doesn’t have a true position. He had great production for 4 years at Purdue. I think he goes undrafted and is signed as a free agent somewhere.
Josh Okonye
Okoyne was a 5th year transfer this past season from Wake Forest. While he didn’t start a game there, he came to Purdue and was a mainstay for Purdue at Corner. At 6’ 205 Pounds, he has typical corner size, but lacks some ball skills to get him drafted. I think he is another guy that will go undrafted but get picked up as a free agent.
Anthony Mahoungou
A late bloomer, Mahoungou exploded onto the scene in 2017 about half way through the year. At 6’3”, 215 pounds he has great size for the NFL. I cannot find a 40 yard dash time for him, but just with the naked eye, I would assume he is a high 4.5 low 4.6 type of guy. It is a long shot for him to get drafted, but I could see him getting a shot as a potential undrafted free agent.
Eddy Wilson
Eddy was the only one that was invited to the NFL Combine, I think he will be a day 3 selection in this draft. He is projected as 5th rounder, but he had a poor combine. Eddy will get drafted at some point though.
Gelen Robinson
Gelen, a full time starter basically all four years has an endless motor. He has played defensive end, three tech and at the nose. He is versatile and strong as a moose. I am not sure what his measurables will look like. But, with his motor that does not stop, I could see him getting a free agent contract as well.
