NCAA Basketball: Big Ten Conference Tournament-Purdue vs Penn State Nicole Sweet-USA TODAY Sports

Purdue won a pair of games in New York and reached the Big Ten Tournament final game for the second time in three years. Sure, the wins were not over Indiana and Ohio State like we hopes, but at least we avoided a “bad loss” to Rutgers and beat a decent Penn State team. The final did not go how we would have liked, but given that Purdue’s spot in the NCAAs as a 2 seed was pretty secure it was actually a rather stress free game. It was basically a glorified exhibition. Yeah, the loss sucked, but it was far from crippling.

We even see it in this week’s top 25 as Purdue dropped to No. 10 and Michigan jumped to No. 7.
