It was a great season for Carsen Edwards and now he can add third team AP All-American to that list. After a season of more than 650 points, 100 rebounds, and 100 assists Carsen has now been named to at least the third team on three of of the four main All-America naming bodies. That means he now will get his own banner in the rafters of Mackey Arena.

Edwards was on the Third team with the following:

Keenan Evans - Texas Tech

Mikal Bridges - Villanova

Luke Maye - North Carolina

Kyle Guy - Virginia

Carsen was named as a Third Team selection by The Sporting News and a Second Team selection by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. He was also a First Team all-Big Ten selection and is the early leader for Big Ten Player of the Year next season.

Meanwhile, senior Isaac Haas was named an honorable mention selection after averaging 14.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game while shooting 61.7 percent from the field and 75.8 percent from the free throw line. Haas finished his career ranked 20th on the school’s scoring chart (1,555 points) and 20th on the rebounds list (643). He was fourth on the career field goal percentage list (.589) and was a third-team All-Big Ten honoree this year. He led the NCAA Tournament in “Elbows shattered by nameless players, thus ruining a team’s title hopes” with 1.
