It is Selection Sunday, and in a few hours we will finally know Purdue’s full tournament path. According to Bracket Matrix Purdue is a pretty solid No. 2 seed. since both Michigan and Michigan State project as 3 seeds and the NCAA likes to avoid intraconference matchups before the Elite 8 if possible there is a good chance we’re in line for a Sweet 16 rematch with Tennessee.
As far as out first round opponents keep an eye out for Wright State, Pennsylvania, or UC Davis. Iona and Lipscomb could be here as well.
The show itself is at 6pm Sunday and will be on TBS instead of the usual CBS. In an effort to coax more advertising dollars out of this thing the crew will reveal the 68 teams in the tournament first before revealing the actual brackets. This means no new information for us, as Purdue has been a tournament lock for months.
