The final college basketball AP Poll of 2018 is out and Purdue continues to receive votes.

  1. Duke (35) 1,530
  2. Michigan (9) 1,478
  3. Tennessee (12) 1,469
  4. Virginia (4) 1,428
  5. Kansas (4) 1,378
  6. Nevada 1,317
  7. Gonzaga 1,200
  8. Michigan State 1,146
  9. Florida State 1,063
  10. Virginia Tech 934
  11. Texas Tech 893
  12. Auburn 820
  13. Kentucky 799
  14. Ohio State 769
  15. North Carolina 744
  16. Marquette 595
  17. Mississippi State 572
  18. North Carolina State 424
  19. Houston 368
  20. Buffalo 353
  21. Indiana 330
  22. Wisconsin 250
  23. Oklahoma 244
  24. Nebraska 204
  25. Iowa 182

Purdue received 6 votes, which is tied with Florida for 33rd. The brutal schedule continues as 6 of our next 7 games are against top 25 teams starting on Thursday when No. 25 Iowa comes to West Lafayette. Purdue needs to defend home court against the Hawkeyes, then we need to win at Wisconsin next week, as the Badgers just lost to Western Kentucky. Like the earlier stretch where we dropped close games to Florida State and Virginia Tech (both currently in the top 10) we have a great opportunity in front of us.

If we can go 4-3 or better against this next tough stretch we’ll be right there when it comes to an NCAA berth. I know we can be ahead of Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Iowa in the Big Ten.
