Impact: Mershawn gives us another offensive weapon for Coach Brohm. Listed as an athlete, it is assumed that he was recruited to Purdue to play wide receiver, whil he is very capable to play on defense, we are looking for an outside receiver.

Mershawn can go deep, get up and snag the ball and he can run routes across the middle. You name it, he can get it done. For a 4* I was surprised to see there were not a bunch of other P5 offers, but he gave Purdue his verbal early on.

I could see Rice getting in the rotation early on, as Brohm looks to replace Zico and Wright on the outside.
