Name: Brooks Cormier
Hometown: Tuscaloosa, Alabama - American Christian Academy
Position & Size: Kicker/Punter, 6’5”, 220 Pounds
Ranking: 2* Rivals, 5* Kohls Kicker Rankings
Offers: Could not find.
Impact: I see Brooks being the next great Punter at Purdue that we all fall in love with. He is a freaking stud of a punter.
Also he is a great kicker.
My bet, he ends up punting the ball for us, as we are losing Joe Schopper.
From Kohls Kicking:
“Cormier has the prototypical size and frame to be an outstanding college punter. His athletic build and raw power make him a D1 recruit. His technical improvement has been impressive this spring. Cormier is someone with rare leg talent. His “A” ball might be the biggest in the 2019 class. Cormier was able to hit multiple 65-yard punts during the drill work period in May 2018 at the Kohl’s Kicking Southern Showcase Camp. He also showed well with a top 10 performance at the Kohl’s National Scholarship Camp in July of 2018. His leg speed and overall upside are very rare. If he works at the technical aspects of punting, he will be a special player.”
Brooks is going to look great in a Purdue Uniform and will play right away.
