Purdue Football Recruiting: Milton Wright Commits!

Oh hell yes.

Once again, Kentucky has been nice to Purdue.

This morning, Milton Wright, out of Louisville, committed to Purdue.

Milton chose Purdue over a plethora of big time offers, including Alabama, Ohio State and Georgia. The top 250 prospect (209) gives Purdue the third Wide Receiver in the 2019 class. Joining fellow four star Mershawn Rice and highly ranked 3* T.J. Sheffield, who was once a Notre Dame Commit.

What does this mean?

The obvious is that we have another Wide Receiver that can play the outside position. The “Z” position will be left wide open after Isaac Zico graduates this year. On the other side on the outside is Jared Sparks, a bug bodied wide receiver, but has struggled with consistency and it appeared last week that Terry Wright may have moved past him out there.

This leaves one open schollie for the 2019 class, which now ranks 22nd in the nation. Presumably, that spot is being saved for in state phenom, David Bell, who will announce January 5th on where he will be playing college football. Purdue is indeed in good shape with David as well, but there is nothing in cement.

Wright is the 5th four star commit for the 2019 class. In comparison, the last 6 classes combined only had 2, being Danny Etling and Gelen Robinson. Coach Brohm has the train on the tracks, running full steam ahead, this could be the best Purdue recruiting class ever.

The 6’3” Milton Wright has had an outstanding senior season. Please take a look at his highlights below.
