If I am going to do a brewery in Bloomington I got a reprieve this week. I have already done Upland and Bloomington Brewing, who have great options. There is a new one to focus on in Bloomington this week and it even has a train theme. Hopefully it is a sign, too, that we’re going to keep the Bucket.
419 North Walnut Street
Bloomington, IN 47404
Upland and Bloomington Brewing are both quality brewers in that city down south, so I am hoping that Switchyard follows in their footsteps. It has a taproom that has plenty of partnerships for food and other beverages. They even have live music at times. We’re here for beer, however, and here are some of their options (sorry, but they don’t have descriptions).
Lavender Blonde 5% ABV, 20 IBU
Session Red 4.6% ABV, 24 IBU
Hopscotch Coffee Stout 6.3% ABV, 36 IBU
Hoppy Blonde 5.1% ABV, 15.5 IBU
Belgian Brown 9.5% ABV, 13 IBU
It is nice to see that their taproom is both pet and family friendly. Here is some more on their food partners and live music:
Our food partner, The Big Cheeze slings delicious options right outside the front door from 11a - 11p daily. Check out their menu here! You can also bring your own food or have food delivered to the taproom.
We host music in the taproom on the First Friday, Second Saturday, and Third Thursday of each month- see our events schedule here!
This is a possible stop on Saturday, as I will be in Bloomington for the game. Will I drown my sorrows or toast to triumph?
