It’s been quite a day, hasn’t it. Earlier this afternoon Dan Dakich stated the following (and I am using his EXACT words because you know things are always sketchy with him):
Jeff Brohm will be announced as The University of Louisville Head Football Coach on Monday November 26th according to my sources...
Of course, this was not from Brohm himself, so we were hesitant to say much. after all, Twitter has Matt Painter at Missouri now, Les Miles AND P.J. Fleck at Purdue, and Brohm at Tennessee. We let it go for most of the afternoon, but there is little question that the buzz became a dull roar. The well-regarded Rick Bozich (who is probably the one source I trust on all of this, finally chimed in:
The latest on the @JeffBrohm saga from a source I trust 1,000,000 percent: Brohm will address the media after Purdue's practice ends around 5 p.m.
— rickbozich (@rickbozich) November 15, 2018
So he addressed it, and Mike DeFabo of CHI Media was there:
Purdue coach Jeff Brohm addresses Louisville speculation. https://t.co/jHoYlsMmxq

So the rumors are “Completely false”. As usual, Dan had to speak:
Yeah I put that out .. but as anyone with any sense knows things change and I own that tweet so draw your own conclusions ...
Dan is the master of twisting words and setting himself up to be right no matter what happens, so draw your own conclusions.
Here is my take: We will know nothing 100% until there is an announcement from Purdue or Brohm after the Indiana game. I take him at his word that he is 100% focused on Wisconsin and Indiana right now. However, I do think he will at least listen to what Louisville offers. Honestly, I don’t fault him for that, either. There is no question Louisville is coming after him, and it would not surprise me if he at least had a meeting with him.
But that will not occur until after the regular season is over. Not before.
