Purdue has not beaten a No. 1 ranked team since 1974. It has not beaten a top five time since beating Michigan State in 1999. If LSU beats Georgia this week and Missouri pulls off a stunner against Alabama the Boilers will get a shot at a No. 1 team in prime time. Today the Big Ten announced that October 20th’s game against Ohio State will kick off at 7:30pm.
Ohio State vs. Purdue on Oct. 20 will be at 7:30 p.m. on ABC

Purdue has not played the Buckeyes since an unmerciful 56-0 beatdown in 2013. Obviously the all-time series against the Buckeyes has not been kind to Purdue, but Purdue has played them close this century in West Lafayette. Purdue has won 4 of the last 7 games played in West Lafayette too.
It is going to take a Herculean effort to win this one, but at least we’ll have a national stage to pull off what would be one of the biggest upsets in program history.
Dwayne Haskins is gonna kill us, isn’t he?
