For the past three seasons Purdue has been a mainstay in the College basketball AP Poll. In that time we were ranked in the top 25 of every poll except one when we briefly fell out after two straight losses in the Bahamas last season. That stretch will continue into the 2018-19 season despite losing four seniors because of Carsen Edwards. He has Purdue starting at No. 24 this year.

Purdue is one of only three Big Ten teams in the preseason top 25, but we have a game at Florida State and a possible game against Virginia Tech in Charleston highlighting the non-conference season. Indiana, Nebraska, maryland, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Alabama, and Davidson received votes as teams either on our schedule or ones we could play in Charleston.
