Coach Painter got his first commit for the 2019 class. Someone that we should all be familiar with by now.
Isaiah Thompson, little brother to P.J. Thompson announced his decision to come to Purdue this morning via his Twitter.

Isaiah is a typical Matt Painter type recruit in my opinion. He goes under the radar, plays hard and works his tail off. Currently, Isaiah is a Junior at Zionsville High School. So, there will be a one year lapse where we do not have a Thompson on the team.
There is a dire need after this season to get another quality point guard in the program that will buy into Coach Painter’s style of coaching. Lucky for us, there was another Thompson. Isaiah has been on campus plenty enough to know what expect from a basketball standpoint and academic standpoint.
Rivals has Isaiah rated as a 3 star prospect. He has another offer from Butler and took an official visit to IU already as well.
Isaiah has dominated his junior season, averaging 26 points per game, 4 assists, 3 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game. These stats have helped lead Zionsville to a an undefeated 10-0 record and currently ranked 5th in 4A.
Welcome to Purdue, Isaiah!
Take a peak of some video on him.
