There is only one game left in the college football postseason, so it is time for some national postseason honors. For the first time in a very, very long time Purdue has an individual honoree, too. Elijah Sindelar was named to the AP all-Bowl game team as its quarterback this evening:
Elijah Sindelar, Purdue (Foster Farms): Sindelar threw for 396 yards and four touchdowns with only one interception in a 38-35 victory over Arizona. He did it all while playing with a torn anterior cruciate ligament, according to Purdue coach Jeff Brohm.
It was quite a night for Elijah, but he could not have done it without his offensive line keeping him relatively clean, D.J. Knox rushing for over 100 yards and a TD, Markell Jones rushing for more than 80 yards, and both Anthony Mahoungou and Gregory Phillips going for 100+ yards receiving and two scores.
Now it is time to rehab and come back stronger next season.
