College Basketball Rankings January 29: Purdue Holds at No. 3

Yep, we’re still waiting for Virginia and Villanova to lose.

Last week Purdue trailed Virginia by 38 votes for the No. 2 spot in the AP Poll and Villanova by 124 for the No. 1 spot. Both Virginia and Purdue had a single first place vote. Well, all three teams won twice this week, with Virginia grabbing the best win amongst everyone by beating #4 Duke in Cameron.

As a result, Virginia picks up some ground this week on Villanova and gains a little separation from Purdue. Purdue gains some separation from Duke, however.
