Our four year starter had a pretty good game today.

Ja’Whaun Bentley ended the Senior Bowl with having a pretty solid day, according to Twitter.

The Senior Bowl was televised on NFL Network, where I am sure it did not get many viewers, but according to Twitter, Bentley had 4 tackles including 12 a tackle for a loss. Not a huge day, but solid considering there is a constant rotation of players throughout the game.

It wasn’t just for playing though. Similar to camps that high school players go to to get noticed by college coaches, the practices is really where players get evaluated in this event as they go through different drills and can talk to coaches.

Once again, according to Twitter, Bentley had a meeting with a couple of different organizations.

I would love it if the Colts picked him up. We need a big bruising linebacker that can stop the run, something that Bentley does very well. He not only talked to the Colts, but he also had a meeting with the soon ti be Super Bowl participant, Eagles.

A lot of draft “experts” do not have Bentley getting drafted. But, with a great pro day he could work his way in. I do believe he will have to run a great 40 yard dash. His intangibles are great, has a high football IQ and has shown production in a power conference.

We will soon find out. Best of Luck, Ja’Whaun, we are rooting you on!
