The expected attrition for Purdue football continues as another junior-to-be is leaving the program with two years of eligibility left. Yesterday it was Brian Lankford-Johnson. Today is it cornerback Josh Hayes.

Hayes played in nine games as a true freshman in 2016, making one start. He finished with 13 tackles and even had an interception in his first collegiate game against Eastern Kentucky. With the coaching change, however, he was limited this past season. he did not accumulate any stats this past season. With his experience he could have been in line to play more in 2018 since Purdue lost its top two corners.
As mentioned, Hayes will have two years of eligibility wherever he transfers. Since he did not play this past season (from what I can see) it could be considered a redshirt and he would have three if he drops down to FCS.
We do wish Josh the best, however. His departure puts us at 3 over now on the scholarship chart, which includes Rondale Moore.
UPDATE: Add Jack Wegher to the list too. Wegher had 4 carries for -5 yards, caught two passes for 37 yards, and returned one kickoff for 19 yards in 2016, but missed this last season with an injury. That leaves him with 3 years remaining:
