Purdue Football: WE ARE RANKED

Okay, it is a way too early top 25, but still.

You heard it right. People are already noticing. Last night, the Purdue Football account Tweeted this out:

If the graphic is not loading for you, CBS has us ranked 21st in the nation in their way, way, way, way too early top 25.

Now, I don;t know if we are there yet, but we will take the national attention.

Purdue brings essentially everyone back on offense, besides Dave Steinmetz and Anthony Mahoungou, that always plays into rankings. The thing people are noticing more than anything I would assume though is this. We have a damn good football coach.

Coach Brohm took us from the ground up. He took over a roster that had won 9 games in four years and won 7 in one season at Purdue. While we hung our hat on defense and running the ball this past season, I think we may see a different approach in 2018.

That entire defense is basically gone. I also believe we saw that Coach Brohm can get a victory in a shootout. Against Arizona, he let Elijah Sindelar throw the ball 53 times for 396 yards and four touchdowns. That is the type of offense he wants to have.

I am sure he would love a dominant defense as well though.

Do you think we should be in the top 25 to start the season?
