Today we feature a sophomore that played a significant amount last season, but will be pushed to hold on to his starting job.
Navon Mosley – So.

2017 Projection: Possible starter at safety
Mosley was one of several players that played as a true freshman last season. Much of that was out of necessity. Purdue desperately needed help at safety, so he took over one of the spots midseason as a starter. He did end up playing in all 12 games.
Mosley finished the season 6th on the team in tackles with 49 stops. His deficiency was in pass coverage, however, which is important for a defensive back. He had just one pass breakup and no interceptions. To hold on to his starting job he will have to improve in pass coverage and be more active back there.
