If you’re able to be up at 3am and you can find a stream to watch this game, then good for you. For me, I will be sleeping because I have a day job and I know it is going to be very dicey to find a stream of it anyway, so I don’t want to sit in the middle of the night and watch a box score refresh.
The good news is that the Estonia game on Friday morning at 12:30AM is definitely going to be streamed. It is already on the FISU Livestream page, so GO AHEAD AND BOOKMARK THIS VERY LINK RIGHT NOW FOR THE ESTONIA GAME. That game could end up deciding the winner of Pool C.
As for this one, the U.S. should be favored. Romania is 1-2 with a win over the United Arab emirates 103-71 and losses to Estonia 74-72 and the Czech Republic 72-60. They have been very competitive, obviously, but just haven’t been able to break through except against the UAE.
Their leading scorer is Sebastian Ionescu, who is averaging 15 points as a 6’2” guard. Mario Lazar, a 6’6” forward is averaging just under 14 points per game. The only player we have averaging more is Vince Edwards, who is having a great tournament at 17.7 points per game.
As for the streaming of this game, here is the latest from the BoilerBall Twitter. follow them to see if things change as we get closer to 3AM.
