A.J Hammons is following in the footsteps of great players like LeBron James and taking his talents to South Beach. Of course Hammons didn’t do it through an elaborate one hour special on ESPN, rather word came down today that the Dallas Mavericks would be sending our boy A.J. down to Miami for Josh McRoberts and a future second raft draft pick. This according to Shams Charania of the Vertical.
Heat plan to send McRoberts and a future second round pick to Dallas for A.J. Hammons, league sources tell The Vertical. https://t.co/OJY3sDiB4q

In his first NBA season A.J. Hammons struggled to find his place on the Mavericks and appeared in just 22 games. He averaged 2.2 ppg and 1.6 rbg. It’s possible this change of scenery will be just what A.J. needs to jumpstart his NBA career. As the NBA offseason progresses it’s nice to see Boilermakers in the news.
