Purdue Football Recruiting: Jack Sullivan Commits

Purdue flips a defensive end from Northern Illinois

The commitment spree continues for Jeff Brohm as he added a 21st commitment late Wednesday night. Jack Sullivan, a defensive end from Plainfield, Illinois, switched his commitment form Northern Illinois to Purdue.

Sullivan is listed as a big 6’5” 245 pound defensive end, meaning he could potentially shift to tackle. He is a 2-star prospect according to Rivals, unrated according to ESPN, and a 3-star according to 247. Here are highlights:

Sullivan is the second defensive end commitment from yesterday alone. Purdue is now at five DEs in this class alone, but if a few bulk up they could move inside to tackle. Overall the 2018 class is now at 21 commitments too. That’s before you consider the addition of Spencer Evans yesterday, who does count toward that scholarship limit since he is a two-year graduate transfer.

As things stand now, Purdue is at 91 scholarships for the 2018 season, and Brohm is not done recruiting. There will be roster attrition in the coming year for sure.
