Caleb Swanigan is not the only one that is playing int he Las Vegas Summer League. In fact, we could be in line for Boiler-on-Boiler crime this weekend if Miami and Portland each reach the semifinals of the Las Vegas Summer League. A.J. Hammons is playing with the Miami Heat after his trade, and he is still pretty good defensively.
Tonight helped Miami reach the quarterfinals with a 91-84 win over the Clippers. He ended up playing 20 minutes and scored 4 points, grabbed 9 rebounds, got 2 steals, and blocked 5 shots. His offensive stats weren’t great, but defensively he was excellent with six of his nine rebounds coming on the defensive glass.
In other Summer League action Swanigan and Portland will face off against Toronto at 10pm tonight. If Portland wins that game they will also reach the quarterfinals, and should both Portland and Miami win they will face each other in the semifinals.
