For the first time ever we have permanent lighting at Ross-Ade Stadium. The new light towers int he southeast and southwest corners went up today and have already been spotted by West Lafayette photographers:
Based on how dark it is in WL/Lafayette right now, might want to turn on the lights@JohnTerhuneJC pic.twitter.com/CYv7Jgr0l8

These are the easy towers to put up, as well as the ones that will be in the northeast and northwest corners. The hard part will be the full bank on the east side of the stadium as well as the new full bank of lights on the top of the Pavilion. that’s why this installation will take about six weeks and finish up around the time the new Performance facility opens in August.
Of course, this si just good news overall and another sign of progress with the program. it is part of $70 million in facility upgrades that were desperately needed, and $4 million more funneled into new resources behind the scenes such as recruiting, sports performance, strength and conditioning, and much more.
For the first time in four years it is truly an exciting time around Purdue football.
