Miss Biggie Already? Me Too. Good News, Summer League is Coming Up

Biggie will be a key player for the Trailblazers summer league team.

Biggie was drafted last week to the Portland Trailblazers with the 26th overall pick, as they look to remake and add depth to their front court.

We will get to see Biggie on the court pretty soon, wearing his new colors of red and black. According to NBA.com the Las Vegas summer league schedule has been released. Now you ask, when do we get to see Biggie play? The answer is July 8th, 6 PM (EST), ESPNU. His first match up? Against the Utah Jazz.

You can find the rest of the Las Vegas Summer League schedule, right here.

I would assume that Biggie will start, generally if you are a first or second round pick you will start. They invested a pick in you, now they want to see if they made the right choice or not.

So, who else will start for the Blazers in their summer league? Good question. I am certain on two positions that will be filled. Caleb Swanigan at Power Forward and Zach Collins at Center, their 10th overall pick in the draft. But what about Point Guard, Shooting Guard and Small Forward?

Uh. They haven’t released a roster yet, but here is my best guess based on their roster and who they sent up and down from the D-League, according to RealGm.com.

Point Guard: Tim Quarterman, LSU (1 Year Exp)

Shooting Guard: Pat Connaughton, Notre Dame (2 Years Exp)

Small Forward: Jake Layman, Maryland (1 Year Exp)

More will come on who they sign for their summer league team, but these guys are good bets. I will be watching Biggie this summer league, double-double after double-double.
