YOU LIKE THAT! Number 1 defensive lineman in the freaking state! I am too excited for this pick. With being a high school football coach, I got to watch Lawrence play last year. Guess what. He is the real deal.
At 6’4”, 300 pounds, he will be hell to block on the inside. He fires off the ball low, he is strong, he is pretty much everything you want in an interior defensive lineman. Coach Brohm continues to fill positions of need. He has recruited the trenches on both sides, and the secondary.
Johnson, out of Fort Wayne Snider, was recruited heavily by Coach Shepard. Coach Shepard’s home town is Fort Wayne, he was just up there the other day. My guess is he made a stop and an offer to Lawrence.
I am all in on this kid and this staff. The staff gets me more excited everyday. I said on twitter the other day, expect a class size around 25, with some interior defensive lineman coming in. Well, here is a big defensive lineman.
