Purdue is in the running for a big time tight end from Ohio. Keaton Upshaw of Lima, Ohio, appears to be making his decision June 2nd, according to his Twitter.

It appears as if it is down to three major contenders for his services. Purdue, West Virginia and Cincinnati have all showed serious interest. While I would love to say we are the front runners, you cannot really tell from his Twitter on who he likes the most.
He retweets, replies, likes anything anyone tweets him. Listen, we need him though. After Herdman and Hopkins, there isn’t much tight end depth, he has the talent to come in and play pretty quickly.
According to Rivals, he is 3* recruit, but is GIANT. 6’7”, says 215 pounds, so he would need to beef up. He has some pretty solid offers and has gotten interest from bigger programs as well.
As of late, it seems like Coach Brohm and his staff have offered everyone in the United States at this point. But, we really don’t know which ones are legit offers, or are they here we like you offers. We should know more in the coming months.
If we can get Keaton, we will be in good shape at the tight end spot, I would love to have him on the roster.
