Vince Edwards Declares for 2017 NBA Draft

For the second straight season Vince Edwards will go through the NBA evaluation process.

Just like last year, Vince Edwards will go through the NBA evaluation process by entering his name in the draft:

As noted, he has not hired an agent and can return for his senior season, which appears likely. Most draft boards have him going undrafted, and his numbers this season were not demonstrably better. His scoring was up 1.3 points, but his rebounding was down. His shooting percentages did improve.

The biggest thing he needs to work on is consistency. Yes, Vince averaged 12.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.2 assists, but there is a reason we had to specify if Vince or Vincent was showing up. Against Vermont and Iowa State he was fantastic with 21 points in each game. Against Kansas in the Sweet 16 he finished with only 8 points as Purdue was blown out.

It is still good for him to go through the process again and find out what he needs to work on next season. Unlike Caleb Swanigan, I fully expect Edwards to be in a Purdue uniform next season.
