It seems as if Coach Painter is letting Coach Lutz take a stranglehold on recruiting. In the past week or so, there has been a plethora of new offers. The strange thing is, most of the kids we have offered, have had some type of contact with Creighton in the past as well.
Hmmm.
It seems as if Coach Lutz brought his list with him to West Lafayette and is recruiting players to Purdue now. I’m not mad, take care of business, Coach.
Here is a list of a few guys he has offered that have surfaced, these are CONFIRMED offers, not commitment, obviously. But, Twitter is a beautiful thing.
Drew Timme - 6’9”, 215 Pounds, Center, 4*, C/O 2019, Texas
He plays center for his high school and AAU team currently. He is for the class of 2019, so he might be a couple of years off. At 6’9”, 215 pounds, he seems more of a power forward in our system. But if he continues to bulk up, he could easily transition to a center in our system. Biggie played center at 6’9” basically all season anyway.

Keyshawn Embery - 6’2”, 180 Pounds, Point Guard, 4*, C/O 2018, Oklahoma
Keyshawn is another kid that Coach Lutz started to recruit at Creighton, buthas continued since he has gotten to Purdue. He is nice size for a point guard at 6’2” and he is lightning quick and pretty athletic. 180 pounds isn’t too thin, but if he bulks a bit his senior year of high school, no one will complain. He seems to like his Purdue offer, as he was retweeting everything Purdue last night. I will take his verbal now.
Blessed to receive an offer from Purdue university! ⚫️⚪️ pic.twitter.com/nkpy0sQwmc

Bryan Penn-Johnson - 7’, 220 Pounds, Center, 4* (ESPN), C/O 2018, Nevada
Penn-Johnson is a left handed rim protector. His offensive post moves aren’t great, but A.J. Hammons was limited when he came to campus too. He is pretty quick for his size and moves well defensively. I like him a lot as a center and it holds true to have a 7’ on the roster every single year.

Emmanuel Dowuona - 6’10”, 220 Pounds, Center, C/O 2018, Florida
Dowuona is from Africa, but laying in Miami. He is super raw but has the highest ceiling of the prospects on this list. He is starting to get looked at by pretty much everyone. He is super athletic and can score offensively based on how athletic he is. He reminds me a lot of some of the centers that go through Louisville. He would be a big time get for the 2018 class, which should be a really good class.
#Purdue has targeted center Emmanuel Dowuona in Miami for its 2018 class ($) https://t.co/2dPf2Yn6wh

This is all I have dug up so far since Coach Lutz has been here. He will continue to recruit Texas and out west heavily as he has some ties out there. He also has ties to La Lumiere in LaPorte, Indiana, so look for us to start recruiting guys hard from there as well.
