Purdue Football Recruiting: Corey Holmes

Coach Brohm lands a grad transfer from Notre Dame!

NCAA Football: Notre Dame Spring Game Matt Cashore-USA TODAY Sports

This is a B1G time get.

Sure, he hasn’t put up a bunch of stats at Notre Dame. But, let’s not hide it. This is big.

We don’t have much depth at receiver, and from everything I have read, what we have got from the group has been underwhelming during spring ball.

Help is on the way this summer. Isaac Zico & Terry Wright from the JuCo level. Now Corey Holmes from the grad transfer route.

Holmes, who will have two years left of eligibility, is eligible to play right away. He is a former 4* wide receiver from Florida. Coach Brohm continues his makeover of the football roster, as this makes his 3rd grad transfer that is eligible to play in the fall.

Some say Holmes was the fastest player on the Notre Dame roster, running near a 4.4 or below. He is 6’1” 190 pounds, he is perfect for a deep ball throwing quarterback like David Blough.

Corey took an official visit this weekend and committed to our Boilers. After being blacklisted in South Bend, not seeing much time on the field, I am looking forward to seeing him take West Lafayette by storm, hopefully he is able to play to his potential.

Welcome to West Lafayette, Corey, Boiler Up!
