With the year coming to an end it is time to vote on the top stories of past 12 months.

Sure, we still have a bowl game (what’s a bowl game, again?) and another men’s basketball game, but we have reached the end of the year and it has been one of the more successful years in a while for Purdue sports. The school brought home two Big Ten championships in a team sport after having none for four years running. Steele Johnson continued to dominate NCAA diving at a national level. Caleb Swanigan was one of the best players in all of college basketball. Purdue football was no longer an embarrassment. Mark Wasikowski got Purdue baseball back into the Big Ten Tournament with a dynamic turnaround.

Yes, it was a good year. Everything seemed to be on the rise. That means we can also vote on the top story of the year. Below are the top stories of the year in poll form. Feel free to vote and later next week I’ll do a more formal recap of the top 10.

Enjoy!
