This morning, Rondale Moore announced his decision to de-commit from the Texas Longhorns and reopen his recruitment, via Twitter.
Rondale has been a target of this coaching staff since they moment they stepped on campus. He was one of the first offers that was given out for our 2018 class. These coaches have pulled all the strings to try and get him too.
In school visit.
In home visit.
Unofficial visit to campus.
Official visit to campus (last weekend).
Rondale is rated as a 4 star prospect on 247 sports and a high 3* on Rivals. He was an under the radar prospect for a bit, until he blew up at the Nike Combine earlier this year.
At 5’9”, 180 pounds he is a slot receiver, but he would make plays all over field and be an impact player from day one. He has played his high school ball at Louisville Trinity, a known power house football program across the state of Indiana.
He essentially has offers from everyone all over the country. Think of a power 5 school. He has that offer, minus Alabama.
A receiving core of Rondale Moore, Jackson Anthrop, Jared Sparks amd Kory Taylor have me salivating. This has big play potential written all over it and the depth problem at wide out would be fixed immediately.
Coach Shepard has worked on him hard. But the Kentucky pipeline that Brohm has brought to Purdue is already paying dividends, as many of our recruits have come from the Bluegrass state. Let’s make it one more, coaches.
Currently, 247 Sports has Purdue as 76% chance of landing Rondale. He will announce January 6th at the Army All American Game on NBC. Tune in. Oh, he was also named the Kentucky Gatorade Player of the Year as well.
Here are his vitals:
5’9”, 180 Pounds
42.7 Inch vertical
133.62 Nike Football Rating (That is high)
270 Pound Bench Press
All Nike Verified.
Take a look at Rondale’s highlights, he is legit.
