This morning Purdue got a priority recruit committed. Kory Taylor announced his commitment via Twitter early this morning.
I am extremely excited to announce my commitment to Purdue University to further my academic and athletic career!! Thank you to my family, friends, coaches and everyone who has supported me along this journey!! #BoilerUp #LetsPlayMoreFootball #Juice pic.twitter.com/3FB2CMTVRp— KT (@Kory_Taylor1551) December 16, 2017
Now, Kory is what we would call a definite outside wide receiver. He has the ability to go up and get the ball, but he also has the speed to burn a defensive back deep. Kory is coming to us Hiliard, Ohio via Bradley High School.
Kory is a 6’5”, 205 pound wideout with a body ready to come in and make an impact right away. A few days after Tayvonn Kyle decided to walk away, Taylor decided to take his place. Which in my opinion, is a step up, Taylor is the better receiver.
Kory is ranked as a 3* on Rivals and is the 79th best wide receiver in the nation. He has a plethora of other offers, but none of that matters now, as he is a Boilermaker. I would expect him to sign this coming Wednesday on the early signing day.
According to his HUDL page, Kory boasts a 4.48 forty yard dash, combine that with his size and we have a special one coming to West Lafayette.
Kory is the type of of receiver that Coach Brohm has been wanting, a long, tall athlete that will make plays when we need him too. Don’t believe me? Check out his highlights below.
Welcome to West Lafayette, Kory. We are ready to see you make plays all over Ross-Ade stadium already. Boiler Up!
