It appears as if Purdue has pulled away from Cornelius McCoy for the 2018 class.

While he says he is reopening his recruitment, I do believe that it was more on Purdue’s side of dropping him before he could sign. McCoy had an underwhelming senior campaign.
McCoy had slot receiver written all over him, but the emergence of Jackson Anthrop in the slot and with a guy like Tyler Hamilton redshirting, the position is filled for the next few years.
McCoy has pretty good offers for a guy that has had a bad senior year, Iowa, NC State, Utah, Iowa State and Rutgers just to name a few. McCoy is rated a 2* prospect by Rivals. He is a speedy slot receiver, but that is not much of a need for our Boilers. On his Rivals page, it shows that there is now no offer from Purdue, hinting that his offered may have been pulled.
Best of luck wherever you go, Cornelius.
