The Big Ten got no help at all last night and is down 0-2 in this year’s ACC-Big Ten Challenge. Maryland lost to Syracuse at home 72-70. Wisconsin went to Virginia and lost 49-37 in an absolute affront to the game of basketball. That leaves the league well behind in two games that were likely toss-ups coming in.
Tonight we get five games, and the ACC is only an overwhelming favorite in one of them. Florida State goes to Rutgers, Northwestern is at Georgia Tech, Iowa is at Virginia Tech, Illinois is at Wake Forest, and Purdue hosts Louisville.
The Big Ten has never lost the challenge when Purdue has won its game, but it has never won it when Purdue has lost.
