Purdue started hot and never looked back.

In another convincing win at Mackey Arena, Purdue let it rain from all over the court. Breaking the previous school record of 18 three pointers in one game. With about a minute left to go in the game, Grady Eifert hit the 19th three pointer of the game, breaking the school record, which couldn’t be more fitting for the rising walk-on player.

Dakota Mathias lead all scorers with 23 points, while going 8-8 from the field, including 6-6 from three point land. Vincent Edwards posted a double double with 21 points 11 rebounds. Carsen Edwards set a career high in assists with 6 this evening.

Many considered Fairfield as the MAAC, after finishing last year with a 16-15 record. We did what a top 20 team should do to a mid major team, completely obliterate them.

Purdue has looked great early on in the season, showing great chemistry in all aspects of the game. Next on slate is the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament. Purdue opens up with Tennessee on Wednesday at Noon.

It is early in the season, but it already appears that Purdue is prepared to have another great year backed by out four seniors. Through four games, we have scored over 100 three times, averaging now 102 points per game.

This team is so balanced, that on any given night Mathias, Edwards, Edwards, Haas or Cline could get hot and score. Next goal should be to win the Battle 4 Atlantis over this Thanksgiving weekend. Boiler Up! It was a great day for Purdue Athletics.

Here is bracket for the upcoming week:
