Purdue basically flipped spots this week with northwestern, who struggled at home with Loyola-MD over the weekend. There were no such struggles with Purdue, as it won both games by a combined 100 points and the 69-point (nice) win over Chicago State was the largest victory of the modern era of Purdue Basketball. the only game where Purdue ever won by more was on January 10th, 1911 when we completely destroyed Indiana State 112-6. No, that is not a typo. Somehow in the early ages of the game of basketball long before the three-pointer we destroyed the Sycamores by 106 points.
West Virginia plummeted to No. 24 from 11 after getting blasted by Texas A&M. As a result Texas A&M went from 25 to 16.
The new coaches poll is not out yet, but it should be later today.
