It’s time for the Purdue Cannon! Home field has meant very little in this series of late, as the home team has lost five in a row. this includes last year’s overtime win in Champaign on a field goal by J.D. Dellinger. That closed the all-time series to 44-42-6 in favor of the Illini all-time. Purdue has dominated the series since 1994, however, going 12-5 int he last 23 years against the Illini.
To be quite honest, this needs to be a win. I know I have said that the last two weeks, but Purdue has lost two games by three total points that came down to the final play. the Illini have struggled greatly and they have the worst offense in the conference and Purdue desperately needs a victory to regain its confidence before the stretch run.
It’s time to keep a rivalry trophy in town and get the Brohm train back on track.
