Purdue Football recruiting: Terry Wright Commits

Purdue picks up its second JuCo receiver.

NCAA Football: Wisconsin at Purdue Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

It’s another JuCo commitment for Jeff Brohm as he attempts to rebuild Purdue on the fly. This time it is a receiver from Coffeyville Community College, Terry Wright:

He loses points for “University of Purdue”, but he gains points for being a 3-star Rivals commitment. Here is the link to his highlights. this past season he had 50 receptions for 805 yards and 8 touchdowns. Those numbers would only trail DeAngelo Yancey’s on Purdue’s 2016 team, and in the Brohmfense they could translate really well.

Wright joins Isaac Zico as guys brought in to compete immediately for playing time at receiver. The only real experience Purdue has returning at the position is Gregory Phillips, so we should see a lot of Wright and Zico on the field. Wright comes to Purdue with two years of eligibility remaining.

Boise State and Houston, two pretty good programs, were also going after Wright.
