If you are like me, you are still sulking after Purdue Basketball blew their game at Nebraska. Hours after Basil gets kicked off, the Boilers lose. But, maybe that is why D.J. Washington decided to commit just an hour after, to lift our spirits.
Extremely blessed and excited to say I've committed to Purdue University ! pic.twitter.com/6NzYQad3Z5

As we have said over and over again, the trenches remain a problem both on offense and on defense. This helps with some depth right away.
Washington has nice size, at 6’5” 280 pounds. He played at Ballard High School in Louisville, Brohm recruited him while he was at WKU and the new staff continued after him as well. But, after his first Big Ten offer and from a coach whom he is familiar with, he has decided to come to West Lafayette instead.
We are still looking for answers on the defensive line, but Washington adds a nice piece on offense. In his film it shows that he has played some interior line as well, I am not sure what the plan will be for him at Purdue, but we will appreciate his help at whatever position he plays.
He has some great hands and fires out quick from his stance. For being a lumbering 6’5” 280 pounds, he gets up to the 2nd level pretty well. Coach Brohm continues to bring in tall and lean offensive lineman, which will allow them to keep up in his up-tempo offense. Welcome aboard, DJ!
