Purdue Football Recruiting: Beach a Boiler

Jeff and company continue to drop Brohms on the recruiting world. Viktor Beach, a 3* 6’5, 300 pound offensive tackle prospect from Fort Meyers, Florida (Bishop Verot), committed to the Boilermakers a day after decommiting from Central Florida. This is a big pull from the Sunshine State at a need position.

Beach brings a massive frame, good feet, and a mean streak to a Boilermaker recruiting class needing some beef. He played left tackle for his high school team, so you’ve got to think that’s where he starts off, but he has the size and aggression to easily move over to the right side of the line. I’m not super great at evaluating linemen (I’ll punt to Old Dan) but I do know that Beach leaves a trail of crumpled bodies in his wake and appears to take pleasure in getting outside and destroying defensive backs.

For those of you who take stock in offer lists (as unreliable as they often are) I’ve got some good news. According to 247 sports, Beach holds offers from LSU (offered on 1/13/17), and Florida (1/10/17). Last time I checked, those are two decent teams.

Beach will probably wrap up the offensive line recruiting for high school players, but there might be another JuCo player added to the class.
