Purdue hosted a ton of recruits this weekend. Many of them were legacy commitments that carried over from the Hazell regime, while some were new targets. One of the biggest pieces of news is that Robert Hudson, a huge offensive tackle from Michigan, backed out of his commitment.
Purdue did still gain a target at a position of need, however. Dante Johnson, a 6’5” 245 defensive tackle from Apopka, Florida commited during his visit:

Johnson is a 2-star commitment across the board, but we’re so thin at defensive tackle that we’re willing to take a guy who is likely going to need to develop over time. Here are his highlights:
He might end up playing on the end or tackle. It really isn’t known yet. He was offered by Iowa State and Brohm was on to him at Western Kentucky, so the staff has familiarity with him. He should be a pretty decent pickup, too.
Stay tuned to see if there were more commitments this week.
