Senator Robert Hummel, the Purdue fan favorite, is getting another shot at the NBA. After going over to Europe last season and injuring his shoulder the Boilermaker that everyone loves is going to get a shot at an NBA return with the Denver Nuggets:
Robbie Hummel has signed a partially guaranteed two-year deal with the Denver Nuggets.
Hummel spent last season playing for Olimpia Milano in Italy, averaging 8.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 22.9 minutes per game.
Partially guaranteed is good news for Rob, as it means some guaranteed NBA money for him. I still can’t believe that JaJuan Johnson got the most national honors but played the least int he NBA from the baby Boilers, but it happens.
Here is to Rob, who is a guy we all want to see succeed when it comes to basketball. It is a damn shame his body has betrayed him to this point, as he has an absurd amount of talent.
