Does coach Painter get off the schneid today for the 2017 recruiting class? I certainly hop so. the next high profile recruit that Purdue has targeted is expected to announce his decision today. Evan Battey, a 6’7”, 290 pound forward from Villa Park, California will announce his decision today:

That will be at 3:12pm Indiana time since he is on the west coast. Here are his recruiting rankings:

Battey is a big hombre that has a strong offensive game. he has good footwork and he can shoot. He was on an official visit this past weekend and was hosted by Caleb Swanigan, as they are expected to be similar players. many rate him as a center, but it would be strange for Purdue to have a 6’7” center after so many years of 7-footers.
Purdue also has another in here. He is a high school classmate of 2017 quarterback recruit Nick Sipe. the two are good friends, so Sipe has been talking to him about Purdue quite a bit.
